Your rug is made to last. Here's how to keep it that way.

A hand-crafted rug is an investment — one that rewards a little care with years of beauty underfoot.

Day to day
Vacuum regularly on a low setting, without the beater bar. For spills, act quickly — blot gently with a clean dry cloth, never rub. A mild soap diluted in water works for most stains. Always test on a small hidden area first.

Every few months
Rotate your rug to ensure even wear, especially in high-traffic areas. This keeps colours and pile consistent over time.

Deep cleaning
We recommend professional cleaning every 1–2 years. Avoid soaking or excessive water — it can affect the backing and fibres. Always dry thoroughly if the rug gets wet.

Sunlight
Prolonged direct sunlight will fade colours over time. Where possible, use curtains or blinds to protect your rug.

Odours
Sprinkle baking soda lightly over the rug, leave for a few hours, then vacuum thoroughly. Works well for freshening between cleans.

Pets
We love them too — but claws and accidents can damage wool fibres over time. A rug pad underneath helps absorb impact, and prompt blotting is key for any accidents.

Rug pad
A non-slip rug pad underneath protects your floors, prevents movement, and extends the life of your rug. We recommend one for all our pieces.

Storage
If storing, roll your rug — never fold it. Clean and dry it first, then keep it in a cool, dry place away from sunlight and moisture.
